Prior to SpinMedia he served as President and CEO for social gaming provider Viximo; President and Co-Founder of ad network 5:1; Executive Vice President and General Manager at IGN Entertainment/Fox Interactive; and senior executive roles at Ziff Davis Media and International Data Group. He has consistently led companies to highs in market share, profitability and revenue, and has been part of numerous product launches, acquisitions and exits. As a sought-after strategic consultant, he also serves as a board member and advisor to numerous gaming and media companies.
Scott Southron is the CFO of SpinMedia and brings a unique blend of experience leading both public and private companies as a chief financial officer and working on the banking side as a partner in investment banking. He has more than 25 years of experience working for industry leaders including The Walt Disney Company, eSolar (a GE Company), MCI/Worldcom, Price Waterhouse, Lyon Communities, and Roth Capital Partners. His experience includes in-depth expertise across corporate finance, accounting and reporting, treasury and operational functions including significant international knowledge and experience working in Europe.
Coming to the company with over 15 years experience in engineering and operations, Sunny Walia serves as SpinMedia’s Chief Technology Officer. Previously he served as Vice President of Engineering and Operations at Demand Media. In addition, he co-founded answerbag.com (which is now owned by Demand Media) and is the President and Editor of totalplaystation.com, one of the longest running PlayStation fan sites online. Sunny holds a degree in Computer Science from California State University – East Bay.
Tom Morrissy is the EVP and Chief Revenue Officer of SpinMedia Group, and brings with him more than 20 years of sales and marketing experience. Prior to joining SpinMedia, Tom served as the EVP and Chief Revenue Officer of Selectable Media, a company that specializes in value exchange and native video platforms. Tom spent several years working in digital video and remains a Board Advisor at Selectable Media. Before Selectable, Tom was EVP of North American Sales for Synaptic Digital, a company specializing in corporate video production and digital distribution, and later acquired by Definition 6, a digital ad agency. Tom also served as Publisher of Entertainment Weekly and OK! Magazine where he was instrumental in growing their business in traditional and digital media.
